A High School that is Centered Around Your Student
We get it. Your student’s dreams aren’t confined to a traditional school setting. Your student wants to be a confident learner, an elite athlete, a world traveler, and ultimately a college graduate.
That’s why we fit school around your student’s schedule. Your student can choose when and where they work so that they can flex their schoolwork around their busy athletic schedule, auditions or try-outs, college tours, and medical appointments. With over 100 accredited, NCAA-approved courses, your student will be eligible for athletic college scholarships.
Our passion is to see your student earn our high school diploma and leave our school prepared for college. When your student attends our school, they will learn how to: work independently, manage their time, and ask for help when they need it. These are essential skills that your student needs to successfully launch into life after high school.
Student Support System
Your student works independently, but they are not alone. Your student is surrounded by counselors, teachers, and tutors who really care about them. Our team is here to give your student regular one-on-one attention in the form of academic counseling, student-teacher conferences, and tutoring sessions.
As a parent of an online high school student, we know that it can feel like you’re not involved. But we are also available to you and make sure you can log in anytime to see your student’s grades, progress, and how long they are spending on their courses.
Rest assured: it’s not all on you. Our school counselor and teachers will also be monitoring your student’s academic life on a regular basis. If there is a problem, our counselor will reach out to you and your student with a solution to get them back on track.
Your student will get a great education at our school. Our student’s academic results show the quality of our program.
Our students do better on national standardized tests like the SAT and AP Exams than the national average and our competitors..
Our students have been accepted to great colleges, many with athletic scholarships, including Stanford, Yale, Notre Dame, University of Pennsylvania, Northeastern University, University of Washington, UC Santa Barbara, University of North Carolina, US Air Force Academy, and US Naval Academy, and more!
Your student is the center of our program. We exist to give students like yours the power to choose a high school that is all about them. That means we are totally focused on making their high school experience match their needs and goals.
To earn a diploma, your student must earn a total of 20-22 credits. Because we are all about choices, your student can choose from two graduation tracks to earn their diploma: General or College Prep.
Check out our program guide for a full list of courses your student can take to meet graduation requirements.
We believe in the power of applied learning. Our curriculum includes interactive exercises so that your student learns by doing. If your student gets lost or confused during a lesson, learning supports are included right on the page to help progress. Written assignments are included in each course and challenge your student to think critically.
We are a preferred provider of the NCAA. That means we make sure your student meets initial eligibility requirements for college athletic scholarships. In fact, our Guidance Director, Joseph O’Leary, is a member of the NCAA National Advisory Board and is considered an expert in NCAA eligibility.
College & Career Prep
Your student will get access to College Readiness Tutorials to study for SAT and ACT exams. Each tutorial includes a study plan just for your student to help them focus on topics they need to work on the most.
Your student can earn credit towards graduation requirements while also preparing for college or career. Our College & Career Preparation courses help students get a jump-start on picking a college major, how to complete college applications, and navigate financial aid options. Or, your student can start building skills now for a career in Health Science, Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or Computer and Business Applications with our Career & Technical Education courses.
ALVS was a great program for our daughter… ALVS has bent over backwards to help us with anything we needed and the whole experience has been excellent from registering to taking the classes, to helping with transcripts and even letters of recommendation. The teachers are excellent and had phone discussions with my daughter on a regular basis.”
“My son chose Apex Virtual School over all the other opportunities, including a great brick and mortar private high school and a well-known online high school.”
“Great fit for my student athlete. Enrolled as a full time high school student and from our first inquiry phone call to receiving my child’s official transcript, all my child’s teachers and Apex staff were professional, engaging and positive. My son’s take away was that he needed to be responsible for his time, engage to learn his lessons, and grades were not given but earned.
Parental tools were helpful in knowing where my child was positioned in his coursework as he spent a significant amount of time away from home. Easy recommendation”
