Online Tutoring Helps High School Students Across the Globe

Live Tutor Chat | Apex Learning Virtual School

The new Live Tutor Chat feature included in all Apex Learning Virtual School enrollments helps students across the globe stay connected and get help instantly. Tutors help answer student questions and clarify assignments in math, science, English, and social studies. Immediate feedback helps students to progress through their courses more quickly, making progress toward graduation.

Our online tutor program began in May 2017. Since then, tutors have helped over 1,000 students in 34 countries. This combines for over 1600 hours spent by students chatting with tutors. Math is the subject area with which students most frequently seek help. Followed by science, social studies, and English, respectively.

Tutoring Philosophy

In their chats, our tutors follow a philosophy of “help the students help themselves.” Tutors strive to engage students’ critical thinking faculties using the Socratic method. By helping students use their reasoning and come to their own conclusions, students learn the material better. Moreover, this prepares students to continue working through their courses independently. Read testimonials…
