Courses Approved by UC

Qualify for admission to the University of California (UC) School System with ALVS courses.

For acceptance into the UC school system, California public school students must have completed UC-approved courses.  ALVS courses have been approved by UC for standards-based courses in “a-g” instructional areas to fully prepare students for first-year university programs. Fulfillment of “a-g” requirements ensures “the student has attained a body of general knowledge that will provide breadth and perspective to new, more advanced study,” according to the University of California Curriculum Integration Institute.

For a list of our courses that are UC-approved visit our course catalog and look for the “UC” symbol. Or, visit the official UC a-g course list for Apex Learning Virtual School (UC School Code: 481142).

My son chose ALVS over all the other opportunities, including a great brick and mortar private high school and a well-known online high school.
