Personalized path to graduation

Students attending ALVS work with experienced guidance counselors. Counselors create a personalized roadmap of courses and schedules that meet students’ individual academic goals. Our counselors closely monitor each student’s progress. ALVS counselors work with students to ensure they stay on track. Counselors make sure their needs are met for graduation and other academic requirements.

National Honor Society

national honor society logoFull-time students have the opportunity to join the ALVS chapter of the National Honor Society, a prestigious organization that recognizes exceptional high school students. Members will participate in service projects and leadership development activities. Members will also have access to college prep resources, including scholarships and workshops. To become a member, students must be in grades 10-12, have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, demonstrate excellence in scholarship, leadership, and character, and be selected by a majority vote of the faculty council.

Course requirements for graduation

To earn a diploma, students must complete a total of 20-22 credits (includes academic and elective courses). Students in 12th grade are required to complete a minimum of 3 credits to graduate.
