About NBA Academy
NBA Academy is an elite basketball development initiative, that provides top high school-age prospects from outside the U.S. with a holistic approach to player development and a predictable pathway to maximize their potential. Their program includes academies across Australia, India, Mexico, and Senegal.
The NBA Academy program emphasizes health and wellness, character development, life skills, and gives prospects the opportunity to learn the game from coaches with professional, collegiate, and international coaching experience.
The relationship between ALVS and NBA Academy started in 2017 by providing the NBA Academy student-athletes with a robust virtual curriculum that allowed them the flexibility to learn and remain engaged academically, regardless of whether they were in a classroom or on the road traveling to competitions. ALVS’s NCAA approved core curriculum not only ensures each student-athlete is meeting all academic requirements but provides them opportunities to challenge themselves in the classroom as well. Through our trusted relationship with ALVS, our academic staff which consists of our academic teachers and tutors are able to ensure each student is prepared to excel at the next level academically once they graduate from the Academy program. Through the Academy program, we want to ensure a solid educational foundation for each student-athlete and for us, Apex is that online academic solution.
“ALVS has been a trusted resource for the NBA Academy program. ALVS helps ensure our NBA Academy student athletes have the educational foundation and requirements to become NCAA student-athletes and are prepared academically before arriving to college.”

International students are supported by an embedded translation tool, which allows students to submit an assignment in their native language and teachers to provide effective grading and feedback.
ALVS supports student-athletes by providing robust, NCAA-approved curriculum. Students are not confined to meet a minimum seat time in the classroom, but instead, they are focused on progress and NCAA eligibility. Due to the flexible scheduling of our courses, prospects can succeed in their basketball career without having to sacrifice a quality education.
